The J. S. Lee Memorial Fellowship Committee has completed the selection process for the 2009-2010 cohort of Fellows; we are delighted to announce Fellowship awards as follows:
Ms. Chi Jo-Hsin, Curator, National Palace Museum, Taipei, Taiwan, whose attachment of five months at The Palace Museum, Beijing, People’s Republic of China will be used to collaborate with The Palace Museum in researching and documenting how the Qing Emperors catalogued their collections.
Dr. Lei Yong, Conservator, The Palace Museum, Beijing, People’s Republic of China, whose attachment of six months at the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A will be used to collaborate with the Art Institute in research on pigments associated with architectural conservation.
Dr. Chan Lai-pik, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, whose attachment of twelve months at the Freer Gallery of Art and the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C., U.S.A. will be used to gain post-doctoral experience in curatorial work and to conduct research on artistic development related to animal-shaped jade carvings and bronzes from the Western Zhou period.
